Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: June 29, 2026 · Effective Date: June 29, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Suppertime.
Suppertime (“Suppertime”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application that helps solo travelers discover local activities, meet other travelers nearby, join activity-based group chats, and plan trips together.
Suppertime offers both free and premium (“Suppertime Premium”) features. Suppertime is designed to help travelers meet through shared activities and group experiences. It is not a dating app, a hookup app, or a platform for sexual solicitation. Sexual solicitation, harassment, pressure, or misuse of our messaging features may result in content removal, account restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms” or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the Suppertime mobile application and any related services we offer (together, the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where you purchase Suppertime Premium or any other paid feature, the terms disclosed to you at the time of purchase also apply.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by other means. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, you must stop using the Services.
2. Eligibility and Your Responsibilities
Make sure you are allowed to use Suppertime before you create an account.
By creating an account or using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You are an individual at least 18 years old;
- You are legally able to enter into a binding contract with us;
- You are not prohibited from using the Services under the laws that apply to you;
- You have only one account on the Services;
- You have not previously been removed or banned from the Services, unless we have given you written permission to return; and
- You will keep your login credentials and device secure.
Suppertime is for adults only (18+) because it facilitates real-world, in-person meetups between strangers. If you stop meeting these requirements at any time, your permission to use the Services ends automatically and you must delete your account.
You agree to:
- Comply with these Terms, the Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws;
- Provide accurate information in your profile and keep it up to date;
- Use the latest version of the app where reasonably possible;
- Treat other travelers with respect, both online and at in-person meetups.
You agree that you will NOT:
- Misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation with any person or organization;
- Harass, bully, stalk, threaten, intimidate, defame, or abuse any person;
- Post or share Prohibited Content (see Section 4);
- Solicit money, gifts, loans, or other items of value from other users;
- Solicit sexual contact, or use the Services for dating, hookups, or sexual solicitation;
- Use another person’s account, or let another person use yours;
- Collect or harvest other users’ personal information, or disclose someone’s private information without their consent;
- Use the Services in connection with fraud, scams, pyramid schemes, spam, or any unlawful activity;
- Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access, copy, or extract data from the Services;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works from the Services, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, our servers, or our service providers’ systems;
- Probe or test the vulnerability of the Services, or upload viruses or malicious code;
- Submit reports or appeals that you know to be false, misleading, or made in bad faith.
If you do any of the above, your permission to use the Services may be revoked automatically and we may suspend or remove your account.
3. Accounts and Sign-In
You create an account by signing in with Google or Apple.
You can create a Suppertime account by Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple. When you sign in with Google or Apple, you authorize us to receive and use the basic profile information (such as your name and email) that those providers share with us, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Conduct, Prohibited Content, and Community Guidelines
Suppertime is a community built on respect. Harmful content and behavior are not allowed.
Our Community Guidelines form part of these Terms and describe in detail what is and isn’t acceptable. You agree to follow them. In addition, you must not upload, post, or share content (“Prohibited Content”) that:
- Is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or contains nudity;
- Harasses, abuses, threatens, or is intended to cause distress to another person;
- Is hateful, discriminatory, or promotes racism, sexism, bigotry, or violence;
- Promotes or facilitates illegal activity, self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous challenges, or violent extremism;
- Is defamatory, false, or misleading;
- Infringes anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Includes the image or likeness of another person without their consent;
- Depicts, sexualizes, or endangers a minor in any way;
- Is commercial spam, advertising, or solicitation unrelated to the purpose of the Services;
- Contains viruses or other malicious code; or
- Is otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the Services.
Child safety — zero tolerance. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors. Where required by law, we will remove such content, preserve relevant information, and report it to the appropriate authorities.
Violating these rules — including conduct at in-person meetups arranged through Suppertime — may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent removal of your account, and where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
5. Safety, Moderation, and Reporting
We use a mix of automated tools and human review to keep Suppertime safe — but you are responsible for your own interactions.
Automated moderation. To protect the community, we screen content you submit:
- Images you upload (profile photos and activity cover images, including generated thumbnails) are automatically scanned for explicit or unsafe content using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch. Images flagged as adult, violent, or racy may be removed automatically, and a strike may be recorded on your account.
- Text you submit (such as activity titles and descriptions, your display name and bio, and city ratings or insights) is automatically screened using OpenAI’s moderation service. Content that violates our policies may be rejected, reverted, or removed, and a strike may be recorded on your account.
These automated systems are not perfect and false positives can occur. If you believe we made a mistake, you may contact us at support@suppertime.xyz.
Reporting and blocking. You can report a user, activity, or message, and you can block other users directly in the app. When content is reported or flagged, we may review the relevant profile, activity, or messages to decide whether a violation occurred.
Bans. If we determine that a user has seriously or repeatedly violated these Terms, we may ban that user. When an account is banned, messages associated with that account may be hidden from other users.
No background or identity checks. We do not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification, or biometric/facial verification of users, and we make no representations about any user’s identity, conduct, intentions, or background. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and in person. Always use good judgment, meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and follow sensible safety precautions.
6. Content and Licenses
You own what you create. Other users own what they create. We own the app itself.
While using the Services you will encounter three kinds of content:
- Your Content — content you upload or provide (for example, your profile, photos, activities, trips, messages you send in group chats, and city ratings or insights);
- Member Content — content other users provide; and
- Our Content — content we provide on or through the Services.
6a. Your Content
You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to share it. Do not post anything that violates these Terms or that you would not want others to see. Because activities, profiles, and group chats are visible to other travelers, do not share sensitive personal information (such as your home address, financial details, or payment information) that you would not want other users to see.
You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute Your Content solely for the purposes of operating, providing, securing, moderating, and improving the Services. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except (i) where Your Content has been shared with others who have not deleted it, and (ii) to the extent we must retain copies to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
You acknowledge that we may review, screen, moderate, remove, or restrict Your Content as described in Section 5, but we are not obligated to monitor all content.
6b. Member Content
Member Content belongs to the user who posted it. You may use Member Content only within the Services and only for the purpose the Services are intended for (discovering activities and connecting with travelers). You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or use Member Content for commercial purposes, to spam, or to harass. Member Content may be inaccurate, biased, or offensive; you should verify it independently, and we are not responsible for it.
6c. Our Content
All software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other materials we provide are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services and Our Content for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
7. Privacy
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how we collect, use, and share your personal data — including the third-party providers we rely on to operate the Services (for example, Google Firebase for accounts and data, and Apple for purchases), as well as automated content moderation, push notifications, crash reporting, and analytics. By using the Services, you agree to the handling of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Location-Based Features
Some features use your location.
Suppertime uses your location and city to power features such as the activity map (provided through Apple Maps), “nearby travelers,” nearby-activity notifications, and city search and information (city search and reverse geocoding are provided by Photon / Komoot). We use approximate location (for example, a geohash radius around a city) to surface relevant activities and travelers, rather than continuously broadcasting your precise position.
You can control location access through your device settings. If you disable location access, some features may not work. For details on how location data is used and retained, see the Privacy Policy.
Profile views. The Services may let users know when their profile has been viewed. Suppertime Premium users may see additional information about who viewed their profile. You can manage related visibility settings in the app.
9. Suppertime Premium, Purchases, and Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple and renew automatically until you cancel.
Suppertime may offer paid features and subscriptions (“Suppertime Premium”), such as enhanced profile-view insights (seeing more about who viewed your profile), expanded discovery, and additional tools, where available. The specific features included in Suppertime Premium may change over time and will be described at the point of purchase.
Billing through Apple. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID via the App Store. Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price for the applicable period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), not within Suppertime.
If you cancel, you keep premium access until the end of the current billing period, after which it ends. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account; to delete your account, see Section 11.
Entitlement. Premium access is managed through our payment provider (RevenueCat) and reflected in your account. Your entitlement is determined by your active purchase as confirmed by Apple and RevenueCat.
9a. Refunds
To the extent permitted by applicable law, payments are generally final and non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used periods, except as required by law.
- Apple purchases. Because purchases are processed by Apple, refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund through Apple (for example, via reportaproblem.apple.com or your device’s purchase history).
For any questions, contact support@suppertime.xyz.
10. Push Notifications and Communications
We may send you notifications; you can turn them off.
With your permission, we send push notifications through Expo (for example, when someone joins your activity, sends a message in an activity group chat, requests to join a private activity, views your profile, or when relevant activities are happening nearby). You can manage or disable notifications in your device settings. We may also send you service-related messages necessary to operate the Services.
11. Account Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that break the rules.
You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your associated data as described in our Privacy Policy. Note that you must separately cancel any active subscription through Apple to stop further billing.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Services, or behaved in a way that is harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate (on or off the Services). If your account is terminated for a violation, you are not entitled to a refund for any unused paid period, except as required by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16) will survive.
12. Intellectual Property Complaints
Tell us if you believe content on Suppertime infringes your rights.
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@suppertime.xyz with:
- A description of the work or right you say has been infringed;
- The location (for example, the activity, profile, or screen) where the infringing content appears;
- Your contact information;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
We may remove content that we believe in good faith infringes others’ rights, and we may remove accounts of repeat infringers.
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is.”
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION YOU OBTAIN THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.
WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE ABOUT THE NUMBER OF USERS, THE AVAILABILITY OF ACTIVITIES, OR THE CONDUCT, IDENTITY, OR INTENTIONS OF ANY USER YOU MEET THROUGH THE SERVICES, ONLINE OR IN PERSON. YOU INTERACT WITH OTHER USERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS ANY WARRANTY OR RIGHT THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING MANDATORY CONSUMER PROTECTION RIGHTS.
14. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO: (I) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES; (II) THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY USER OR THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING AT IN-PERSON MEETUPS; OR (III) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY EURO (€50).
NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (FOR EXAMPLE, LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, OR FOR FRAUD). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
15. Indemnification
You cover us for claims caused by your misuse of the Services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, Your Content, your conduct toward other users, or your breach of these Terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow this, so part or all of this section may not apply to you.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
We’d much rather sort things out with you directly than go to court.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services, are governed by the laws of the country where we reside, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We do not require you to use any specific court or arbitration forum.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, including any right those laws give you to bring proceedings there.
We encourage you to contact us first at support@suppertime.xyz so we can try to resolve any concern informally before pursuing a formal dispute.
17. Apple App Store — Additional Terms
These terms apply because Suppertime is distributed through the Apple App Store.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the Services or their content. Where there is any conflict, the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple End User License Agreement (EULA) apply to your use of the app.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Services.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the Services; any warranty claims and refunds for the app itself are handled per Apple’s policies.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Services, including product-liability claims, claims that the Services fail to conform to legal requirements, or claims under consumer-protection law.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party intellectual-property infringement claim relating to the Services.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist-supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties (a requirement imposed by Apple).
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
18. General
The fine print.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not transfer or assign these Terms or your account. We may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Services or our business.
- No agency. No partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created by these Terms.
